This is a Vietnamese exercise regimen consisting of a series of 12 movements done with a stick. The exercises are designed to maintain a healthy body and spirit by improving your balance, flexibility, strength, mental focus and breathing capacity. For more information, go to http://www.longevitystick.org/ . By the second meeting you will be required to have a one-inch-thick dowel, the length of your outstretched arms or corresponding to your height, with rubber chair leg tips on each end. Large men may feel more comfortable with a one-and-a-half-inch-thick dowel. Materials can be purchased at any home improvement store and cut to the proper length.
