“Magic Workshop I” is designed to provide the magic skills and knowledge necessary to perform and entertain small audiences using cards, coins, handkerchiefs and other appropriate objects. Emphasis is placed on close-up magic, combining instructor presentation, step-by-step explanation and hands-on instruction. No previous experience is required to take the class. “Magic Workshop I” is a repeat of “Magic Workshop,” presented in fall 2016. Each session repeats the same material. The instructor is CSUF music professor David Thorsen. He is also a professional magician, having taught magic in the Theater Department, as well as performing and teaching at the Academy of Magical Arts (Magic Castle) in Hollywood for the past twenty years.
