Are you and your household ready for the next big earthquake to hit Southern California? It could happen tomorrow or in the years to come. Does your household have an earthquake plan and have assembled an earthquake kit? This presentation examines why we have earthquakes and the types of earthquake damage we could expect. We will focus on how to minimize damage in and around our homes by recognizing potential hazards. Methods on how to secure objects that could fall and how to reduce risks are suggested. Remember, earthquakes do not hurt you, it’s the objects that fall on you that do! Be ready for the next one.
