“Reading makes a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.” —Francis Bacon

The focus is on creative non-fiction—articles you want to write and possibly publish, persuasive letters, family history and legacy, your “profound” ideas, humorous observations and other materials that you want to develop. Each class will start with a brief talk on useful writing tips and then feature writings by class members. Bring copies of your work for other class members to read so they can provide verbal and written feedback, both in praise and critique.
