Survival Italian - Cancelled
Come and learn to speak Italian and work with a teacher who can help you sound like a native.
Learning to pronounce a Latin language is much easier than English. English has 24 sounds ascribed to the vowels A, E, I, O, U. Italian has only one sound for each of these five vowels: A in pasta; E in best; I in machine; O in port; U in rude. H is always silent as in hour, honest, honor and heir. Moreover, approximately 65 percent of the words in English come from Latin. More than 15 percent come from Greek. If you speak English, you already know 80 percent of the words in Spanish or Italian. Learn another language the way you learned your first one as a child, unconcerned about making mistakes. Your grammar may not be perfect, but as long as you pronounce the language correctly, you will be understood.
