Every Wednesday • 8:30 a.m.-9:45 a.m. • Room 21

June 7, 14, 21, 28 • July 5, 12 (no classes after this date)

“French 1” is for beginners who have little or no French language skills. Why study French when many French people in tourist areas speak English? To demonstrate appreciation for their culture and thus put a smile on their faces. Creating a positive atmosphere for communication does not require extensive knowledge of French, but it’s important to pronounce expressions the ‘French way.’ Therefore this course emphasizes pronunciation rather than grammar.
