This multi-media class explores the first 100 days of the next President of the United States. Traditionally, the first 100 days is used to judge the effectiveness of the new president when his (or her) power and influence is at its greatest. The new President’s ambitious agenda will doubtlessly face a divided nation and a Congress and judiciary that may frustrate or advance the Administration’s agenda. Each class will focus on one or more “anchor” topics that are ripped from the headlines and presented in depth for thoughtful analysis. Both policy and politics will be reviewed. The first “test of wills” will likely be nomination/confirmation of one or more Supreme Court justices.
