“The end is near!” Whether or not you believe those who shout this phrase, it is true that we live in a time characterized by anxiety and dis-ease about the future. As OLLI members, we also reflect upon our personal endings. The New Testament book known as “Revelation” has often been depicted as a book about the “End Times.” In this course we will study this book. We will also use it to compare how it relates to apocalyptic themes in other religions and in current political movements such as ISIS.
