“Mozart and Operas” will discuss how Mozart transformed the opera traditions that he inherited to imbue the form with drama and emotion, and how he influenced the operas that were composed after his death. This course will focus on Mozart’s major operas, feature performances by CSUF students and alumni, and prepare students to attend, in March, LA Opera’s “The Clemency of Titus” and CSUF Opera Theater’s “The Magic Flute,” both of these on the class members own initiative. This course will provide information of the methods involved in producing and interpreting an opera.

*All classes originally scheduled for April and May have been cancelled.
