Coordinators: Dave Musante, Patti Chikahisa, Rod Collier, Wayne Terrill

Poker is a game of skill, which emphasizes the ability to read situations and opponents to give you the advantage in every hand you play. It is also a game utilizing statistics and mathematics where one should be able to calculate the odds of either you or your opponent winning the hand in various situations. It cannot be assumed that people who do not utilize statistics and mathematics will not be winning players, but a sound knowledge of odds can only improve your game and give you an advantage over players who do not use them. Classes will be held on the alternate Thursdays of the OLLI Socials from 3:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Shapiro AB.
