The Great Decisions class will continue to use the Foreign Policy Association booklet entitled Great Decisions 2009. Each year, authoritative authors from government and outside agencies discuss eight topics of general interest in foreign affairs. We have thus far covered emerging nations (China, India, Russia, Brazil and Afghanistan/Pakistan) and several sessions on Energy and the Global Economy followed by the Arctic age. The fall semester sessions will take up Egypt and continue with the Global Food Crisis, Cuba after Castro, and Human Rights. Each topic will be started with a half-hour DVD presentation followed by voluntary presentations by class members expanding on the material from the booklet. Each of these voluntary presentations is followed by roundtable discussions with input welcomed from all class members.

If you have an interest in foreign affairs, you are cordially invited to join our like-minded group.
