CP103: Basic Skills I
A class designed for total beginners, almost beginners and those who need to review basic skills. Includes Windows programs, mouse and keyboard practice. Learn to create simple word processing documents, spreadsheets and databases.

CP193: Picasa for Photo Handling
Picasa is free software for the PC that offers powerful photo organizing and editing tools. It offers all you need to produce professional looking slide shows and movies that can be shared with friends and family through the Internet or on CDs and DVDs. This class will also help you gain confidence and familiarity with many related activities such as burning CDs & DVDs, scanning old photos, music file conversion, uploading movies to Google Web and Internet communication (email, video).

CP143: Internet Eclectic Workshops
We will offer a different topic at each Tuesday workshop. The first workshop will be an Introduction to Blogs. It is very easy to create your own blog on the Internet. We will look at different types of some of the many thousands and show some of the options. The second workshop will be an Introduction to Free Music on the Internet. There are thousands of radio stations playing all varieties of music on the Internet. We will demonstrate how to find music that you like and capture it to your PC. The third workshop will be an Introduction to Free Videos on the Internet. While YouTube is very popular, there are thousands of other free sites that let you watch videos of commentators, book reviews, and videos longer than 10 minutes. We will show some of these sites and how to save them on your own PC. A fourth workshop will be an Introduction to Free Antivirus and firewall software such as AVG and Comodo from the Internet to keep your computer free from infection and hackers.

CP144: Basics, E-mail and Maintaining Your PC
This series of general workshops will focus on the following topics:
•      What will a PC do for me and how do I get one?
•      E-mail and the Internet (providers, browsers, search engines, downloading)
•      Maintaining a PC, Part 1 (Control Panel, installing hardware/software, error messages)
•      Maintaining a PC, Part 2 (defragmentation, viruses, backups)
There will be demos, handouts, and modest hands-on practice. No previous experience needed.

CP185: Photo Art: Your Best Shot
You too can be an Ansel Adams. Bring us that great landscape (or action, portrait, family group) shot. We will help you perfect it using one of our photo-editing programs, and print it LARGE to hang on your living room wall!

CP145: Words and Music from the Internet (Blue Book changed, CP145 is canceled and combined with CP143, see CP143.)
Learn ways you can acquire free music using free software such as Winamp, Audacity, Pandora, freemusiczilla and others. Learn how to find interesting video and audio talks on the Internet and put them on DVDs and CDs.

CP195: Your Life in Multi-Media Projects
Got photos? Got video? Got sound clips? Want to create something worthy of a legacy about some aspect of your life experiences or adventures? Learn how to use free software to take images and footage to a showcase-quality DVD to gift family & friends, or to show other OLLI members at an Around the World presentation.
